Collection Aline

The Aline Collection is the result of a collaboration between several artisan winemakers and Aline Serva, a very limited series of vintages (less than 1000 bottles per winemaker) for which each has shared his experience and knowledge.

Many wine and champagne brands and vintages are the result of marketing processes. I am obviously far removed from such practices. Each of my vintages is rooted in reality and has its origins in an encounter, a sharing of values, and an essential bond.

I base my work on what already exists: life, family and cultural history, the location of the vines, the condition of the soil, and cultivation practices. Each story is unique, each encounter is rich in lessons. Together, we define each person’s role and then work with what nature has to offer* without pesticides, herbicides, chemical fertilizers and very generally without dosages (added sugar).

*On my scale, there are no good or bad years: there are always enough good grapes to produce 300 or 600 bottles. There are very different years, which allow me to present you with a true, complex, and fascinating story of the reality of champagne while broadening the range of our pleasures.

Aline & Champagne Vincent Charlot

Vincent is at the origin of the Aline Collection. Based in Mardeuil near Epernay, he cultivates just over 4 hectares of certified biodynamic vines. His work to bring the family vineyards back to life is impressive. At his place, everything grows, everything lives, botanists and entomologists are surprised to find rare and often forgotten plants and insects.

Vintages made: 20132014 – 2015 – 2017 – 2018 – 2019 – 2020 – 2021 – 2022.

Available vintages are written in bold blue.

Aline & Champagne Bourgeois-Diaz

Located in the northwest of the Champagne appellation in a haven of forests, pastures and rivers, Jérôme has converted his entire estate (about 6 hectares) to certified organic and biodynamic farming. Joined a few years ago by his wife Charlotte, they have achieved through their natural methods and agroforestry a huge work of diversification of their biotope.

Vintages made: 2015 – 2016 – 2017 – 2018 – 2019 – 2020 – 2021 – 2022.

Available vintages are written in bold blue.

Aline & Champagne Olivier Horiot

Olivier Horiot is located in the south of the Champagne appellation, a few steps away from the first terroirs of Burgundy. A region famous for its pinot noirs but rich in a large biodiversity where we also find some vines of meunier, chardonnay and forgotten grape varieties. Olivier has accomplished a magnificent work of quality improvement with his vines and champagnes. For a few years now, his partner Marie has invested a lot of time in the vinification of the different vintages and has brought a new impetus to this family estate which was already very dynamic.

Vintages made: 2015 – 2016 – 2017 – 2018 – 2019 – 2020 – 2021 – 2022.

Available vintages are written in bold blue.

Aline & Champagne Leclerc Briant

Located in Epernay, the Leclerc Brillant estate, after a long history that began in 1872, has been totally renewed in 2012 under the leadership of the spirited Frederic Zeimett and the very solar chef de caves Hervé Jestin. All three of us share core values around the importance of biodynamics and the need to make and drink highly vibrational and naturally alive wines.

Vintages made: 2017 – 2018 – 2019 – 2020 – 2021 – 2022.

Available vintages are written in bold blue.

Story of the Collection

Everyone knows it: Aline loves champagne more than reason!

Some of the best independent winegrowers of this prestigious appellation have agreed to follow her in her project of the Aline Collection by elaborating each year an exclusive and very limited cuvée (less than 1.000 bottles per year and per winegrower).

The idea has always been to enjoy each other's work, to do it together, to learn to exchange visions, experiences and know-how: sharing work in the vineyards or in the cellar, choosing a plot of land, selecting clear wines, making (or not making) blends, imagining specifications, making choices during the different stages of vinification... for each cuvée, it was important to accept to review one's own certainties, even to the point of sometimes pushing each other out of our comfort zones. From this delightful mix, atypical, lively, healthy, energizing and particularly vibratory champagnes were born. Obviously without pesticides, herbicides, chemical fertilizers and without dosage.

It is important to note that the participating winemakers are all world renowned. Their champagnes are present in many countries, often on the best tables. It is therefore with great kindness and humility that they have agreed to a common label design "Collection Aline" realized by the excellent Danish agency Formgiverne.

On each label you will find the name of the winemaker, the number of bottles produced and some information on the vintages, the dates of harvest, disgorgement etc. .... We have spared you the usual tedious tasting comments, it's up to you to make them with your emotions.

The Aline Collection is available in France, USA, Switzerland and Brazil.
